Wonder Boy, Arcade
Developed by Escape (who would later become Westone), Wonder Boy is a straightforward run-and-jump-left-to-right-to-reach-the-goal platform game featuring a blonde-haired, semi-naked cave-boy who is trying to rescue his girlfriend, Tina, from the clutches of the “The Dark King”.
Super Bubble Bobble MD, Megadrive/Genesis
Super Bubble Bobble MD is a bootleg Megadrive/Genesis game that was probably created to fill a gap in the market because Bubble Bobble was never officially released on the platform.
Bubble Bobble also featuring Rainbow Islands, Sega Saturn
Bubble Bobble also featuring Rainbow Islands was coded by British developer Probe Entertainment and published by Acclaim in 1996. It was also released for the PlayStation, PC MS-DOS and Windows, but I’m just covering the Sega Saturn version here because they’re mostly identical.

Bubble Bobble, Sega Master System
The Sega Master System conversion of Bubble Bobble was converted by Taito themselves and published by Sega in 1988 in Japan and 1991 in Europe. Not only is it one of the best of the early console conversions, but it also differs from most of the other conversions in a significant way.
The original Japanese title for the game was “Final Bubble Bobble“.

Out Run, Megadrive/Genesis
This 1991 Megadrive/Genesis conversion of the classic arcade race game, Out Run, was written by Sega’s AM2 development team – who made the original – and it is therefore very authentic and just as much fun as the arcade game.
Toki: Going Ape Spit, Megadrive/Genesis
This 1991 Sega Megadrive conversion of Toki is only loosely-based on the original 1989 arcade game, which is good because the original was much too hard to be fun, and this is more playable.
Enduro Racer, Arcade
Yu Suzuki‘s 1986 arcade game, Enduro Racer, is seen by many as the dirt bike equivalent of Hang-On, because it uses similar technology and graphical techniques.
The Enduro Racer arcade cabinet came in two variations. One was a stand-up cabinet , with motorbike handlebars, and the other was a full-size dirt bike that you could sit on.
