Spyro the Dragon, PlayStation

Spyro the Dragon is the first game in the Spyro series and was developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony, exclusively for the PlayStation, in 1998. Spyro himself is a small, purple dragon, and in this opening game he is attempting to save his dragon friends who have all been turned into crystal by the evil Gnasty Gnorc.

Illusion of Gaia, Super Nintendo

Developed by Quintet and published by Enix in Japan in 1993, and by Nintendo, everywhere else, in 1994 and ’95. The later ‘Westernised‘ version was censored in places, but there are some good fan-patches of the uncut Japanese version available in English.

Ms. Pac-Man, Atari Lynx

The Atari Lynx version of Ms. Pac-Man is a very good pill-gobbler, and – as far as I’m aware – it was only Pac-Man type game to appear on the system, outside of homebrew. It was developed and published by Atari Corporation in 1990.

Pressure Cooker, by Garry Kitchen, was first published for the Atari 2600 in 1983, by Activision. It is a food-preparation game where you play as a burger chef (called “Short-Order Sam“) trying to package items with the right ingredients for your customers.

Co-developed by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo R&D1, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Games!, is a collection of party-based minigames that are supposed to test your reactions and skill. And the games have “Wario-based japes” flavour to them.
