Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean is a brilliant Final Fantasy-style, level-grinding RPG, initially released by Namco on the Nintendo GameCube in 2003.

Aleste 2, MSX
Aleste 2 is a stand-out title on the MSX2. It has superb, colourful graphics, and challenging, fast-paced shooter gameplay.
Nightmare in the Dark, Neo Geo
This obscure Neo Geo platform game was released only in arcades (on the Neo Geo Multi Video System) in Japan in 2000.
