Released in Japan only by Konami in 1991, Lagrange Point is a science fantasy JRPG set on a human colony ship in space (located at the Lagrangian points between Earth and the Sun). Communications are lost between colonies, so a search team is sent in to investigate.

Zaxxon, Atari 5200
The Atari 5200 version of Sega‘s classic arcade game, Zaxxon, was programmed by Ronald J. Fortier and first released in 1984.
Zaxxon, SG-1000
Zaxxon was arguably Sega‘s flagship game during the early 1980s so it was ported to most home computers and consoles. The Japan-only SG-1000 version first came out in 1985 and is a reasonable conversion of the classic isometric shooter.
Shadow Squadron, Sega 32X
Developed and released by Sega in 1995, Shadow Squadron (also known as Stellar Assault in Europe) is a first-person, 3D space combat game with fast-moving filled polygons. The game can be played by one or two players and features a co-op mode where one player steers the ship and the other mans a gun turret.
Return of the Jedi: Death Star Battle, Atari 2600
Return of the Jedi: Death Star Battle is a space shoot ’em up based on the famous second Star Wars sequel from 1983 and in it you control the Millennium Falcon on a mission to destroy the Empire’s second attempt at a Death Star.

TIE Fighter, PC
TIE Fighter was first released in 1994 and is the sequel to the smash hit space combat game, X-Wing, which are both of course based on spacecraft from the Star Wars universe. This time, though, you get to fight on the side of The Empire, who are widely seen as the ‘bad guys’ in the Star Wars series, so in this game you are blasting Rebels and their collaborators out of space, and not the other way around.
Eliminate Down, Megadrive/Genesis
Eliminate Down is a top-quality single-player, side-scrolling, bullet hell shooter developed by Aprinet and published exclusively for the Megadrive/Genesis by Soft Vision in 1993. The game was only ever released in Japan, but is in English, so is easy to understand. There are fan translation patches available, and those translate the game into Spanish and Dutch.
Super Asteroids & Missile Command, Atari Lynx
Super Asteroids & Missile Command are a pair of conversions of two classic Atari arcade games – Asteroids and Missile Command – squeezed onto one cartridge and released for the Atari Lynx in 1995. These two games were apparently the very last to be released for the Atari Lynx.

Unreal II: The Awakening, PC
Unreal II: The Awakening is the sequel to Unreal and was developed by Legend Entertainment and published by Infogrames in 2003 under the Atari brand. It utilises Unreal Engine 2 and again features a single-player campaign, as well as multiplayer deathmatching.
Mercenary, ZX Spectrum
Paul Woakes‘ classic open-world cockpit exploration game, Mercenary, was ported to the 48K ZX Spectrum by David Aubrey-Jones and published by Novagen Software in 1987.
