Resident Evil 6 continues Capcom‘s infamous survival horror series in such a high-octane fashion, that its fifteen minute pre-title action sequence would shame even a James Bond film.

Resident Evil 4, PC
The high-def Windows version of Resident Evil 4 looks a bit sharper than the GameCube original, but is essentially still the same great game.
Resident Evil HD Remaster, PC
Let’s face it: Resident Evil (one) was never the best game to begin with…
When you make a story-based game, the first thing you start with is a script. And Resident Evil‘s script (mostly notably: its dialogue) has always been laughable.
With such memorable lines as: “Thanks for saving my life! Now, shouldn’t you be elsewhere?” and character mood swings bordering on the insane, you’d be forgiven for writing Resident Evil off with derisory laughter.
But a lot of people think that it’s still a great game.
Head Over Heels, PC
Which leads me up to this 2003 remake of Head Over Heels, by Retrospec.
A re-imagining of Ritman and Drummond‘s classic game, with updated visuals and sound. Does it cut the mustard? Does it live up to the greatness of the original?
Neon Drive, PC
Neon Drive is a beautiful modern retro game that is a kind of cross between an old, ’80s arcade game, and a rhythm game.
Ultimate Race Pro, PC
It might seem like an innocuous title (and a bit of a Daytona clone), but Kalisto Entertainment and MicroProse‘s Ultimate Race Pro was a great, early pioneer of multiplayer online racing games.
BioShock Infinite, PC
BioShock Infinite (2013) is the third game in the BioShock series, and it is one a hell of a game! It is a bright, imaginative, funny, touching, emotional, violent and downright surprising adventure, set in a steampunk-style cloud city called Columbia.
Shadowrun: Dragonfall, PC
Shadowrun: Dragonfall is a 2014 indie release from Harebrained Schemes, set in the Shadowrun universe.
The developers tried to continue the success of the Shadowrun console games of the early ’90s, and in many respects succeeded.
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle For Middle-Earth, PC
An excellent Real Time Strategy (RTS) game based on the Peter Jackson films (not to mention the brilliant and famous books by JRR Tolkien, on which the films are based), and first released by Electronic Arts in 2004.

Legend of Grimrock, PC
This incredible “indie” dungeon crawler absolutely drips atmosphere and is bloody terrifying in places! It’s a heck of a challenge too…
Legend of Grimrock plays very much in the mould of Dungeon Master, and other first-person, tile-based RPGs, but it does it so much better than almost all of the others.
