The Legend of Oasis is the Saturn-exclusive sequel (and prequel) to Beyond Oasis on the Megadrive/Genesis. It’s also known as “The Story of Thor 2” in some territories. The game was developed by Ancient and published by Sega in 1996.

Clockwork Knight, Sega Saturn

Clockwork Knight is a platform game exclusive to the Sega Saturn that mixes pre-rendered 2D graphics (like those in Donkey Kong Country) and 3D graphics (polygonal shapes), with the concept of children’s toys coming to life, and it is a pleasant and playable enough experience as platform games go. It was developed and published by Sega and first released in 1994.

The sequel to Shining SoulShining Soul II – was once again developed by Nextech and Grasshopper Manufacture and was first released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. It’s another real time RPG, only this time it’s more detailed and challenging than the previous game.

Shining Soul is an isometric RPG with real time combat, developed by Nextech and Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Sega in Japan and Europe and Atlus in North America. It was first released for the Game Boy Advance in 2002.

18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker, Dreamcast

18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker is a conversion of a 1999 Sega arcade game, with gameplay featuring chaotic and destructive street truck racing. The Dreamcast version first came out in 2000 in Japan, and everywhere else in 2001.

Miracle Warriors: Seal of the Dark Lord, Sega Master System

Miracle Warriors: Seal of the Dark Lord on the Sega Master System is a very simple turn-based RPG that looks terrible but is surprisingly absorbing when you get into it. It was developed by Kogado, initially for the PC-88, then later it was ported to the MSX, Famicom and Master System. The SMS version was first released in 1987 by Sega.

Sega‘s first attempt to make a fully 3D Sonic game was first published on the Dreamcast on December 23rd 1998, and while it’s not a bad game – it’s not a great one either.

Deep Fear, Sega Saturn

Deep Fear is a Saturn exclusive survival horror game published by Sega in 1998. It’s basically a shameless Resident Evil clone, and someone obviously thought: “let’s cross Resident Evil with The Abyss” and came up with this underwater adventure.

You play an emergency chief on an underwater fuelling base and must investigate why a submarine has crashed into part of the rig, and why some people are suddenly transforming into disgusting monsters and attacking the crew.

Crusader of Centy, Megadrive/Genesis

Crusader of Centy is a Zelda-like action/adventure game developed by Nextech and published by Atlus in North America and Sega in Japan and Europe. The game was released in Japan first – in 1994 – and everywhere else in 1995. In Europe the game was re-named as “Soliel“.
