RoboCop 2, Arcade

The arcade version of RoboCop 2 was developed and published by Data East in 1991 and is loosely based on the 1990 Irvin Kershner-directed film sequel of the same name. In it you play as RoboCop and must stop a criminal drug baron, called Cain, from spreading a new drug called ‘Nuke’.

Road Rash, Sega Saturn

The Sega Saturn version of Road Rash is an exhilarating and enjoyable third-person motorbike race game, with the all usual Road Rash-style violence mixed-in.

Sometimes your opponents will try to hit you, to knock you off your bike, but you can always turn the tables and try to bring them down with a well-timed punch or a kick.

Road Rash on the Saturn was developed by Electronic Arts Studios and is basically an enhanced version of Road Rash on the 3DO, which first came out in 1994.

18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker, Dreamcast

18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker is a conversion of a 1999 Sega arcade game, with gameplay featuring chaotic and destructive street truck racing. The Dreamcast version first came out in 2000 in Japan, and everywhere else in 2001.

Rogue Trooper Redux, PC

Rebellion‘s Rogue Trooper was originally released in 2006 for Windows, PlayStation 2 and XBox, and it was remastered in HD by Tick Tock Games and re-released in 2017. It is the remastered “Redux” version that we’re looking at here.

For those who don’t know: Rogue Trooper is based on the character made famous in the British comic, 2000AD. Famous enough for him to have appeared in a ZX Spectrum game in 1986, and an Amiga/Atari ST game in 1991. And also slated to appear in a forthcoming film by Duncan Jones, who directed Moon (2009), and Warcraft: The Beginning (2016), among others. So Rogue Trooper does have some pedigree.

Star Fox 2, Super Nintendo

The sequel to the classic Super Nintendo 3D shooter, Star Fox, Star Fox 2 is infamous because it was actually cancelled before it was completed, way back in 1995, but was finally finished and released in 2017 on the SNES Classic Edition retro console.

Fade To Black is a 3D action adventure game developed by Delphine Software and published for the PlayStation by Electronic Arts in 1996 (the MS-DOS version came out earlier, in 1995). It is the sequel to the classic 1992 platform game, Flashback.

The best way to describe Guile on the Archimedes is: it’s a lot like David Braben‘s Zarch (aka Virus), but set in tunnels. And if you’ve ever played Zarch before then you’ll know that that means that this game is gonna be difficult…

The box describes Guile as: “a unique three-dimensional flight simulator set in a dungeon adventure“, which is sure to have any rational gamer scratching their head in confusion.
