Resident Evil Zero is a prequel to the first Resident Evil game and originally came out on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002.
It is the fifth major instalment in the Resident Evil series. The game uses the older ‘pre-rendered’ style of backgrounds, but is much darker and more serious than the first Resident Evil.

The retro games community got excited recently when two development cartridges from a cancelled version of Resident Evil for the Game Boy Color were found and dumped by some shadowy, anonymous people.
Was the excitement worth it?
Resident Evil 4 – THE standout survival horror game of the Noughties – was released exclusively by Capcom on the Nintendo GameCube in 2005, and it immediately became a critical and commercial smash hit. For all the right reasons.
Luigi’s Mansion was first released in 2001 on the Nintendo GameCube, and was a launch title if I remember correctly (meaning: it was available when the GameCube was first released).
Still my favourite tennis game of all time. On any system.
Super Tennis on the SNES is so good; so much fun to bend shots around the net; such a good balance between cartoony-ness and realism, that it is always a joy to revisit.
Mario games may be looked down upon by some gamers as “for kids”, but this game proves otherwise.
Super Mario World (1990) may look and sound like a kid’s game on the surface, but – underneath the hood – the gameplay is for pros…
Games-players will always argue among themselves about which is the greatest “retro” Mario game of all time.
For me it is a toss-up between Super Mario Sunshine (2002) and Super Mario World (1990) on the SNES.
Squaresoft turned Nintendo‘s figurehead character, Mario, into a level-grinding RPG in 1996, much to the delight of games-players world wide.
Throughout history, man has always striven to recreate the original Star Wars battles on video-gaming hardware, to enable grown men to act like children…
And 2003‘s Rebel Strike is a veritable ORGY of Star Wars-related combat, from run-and-gun style, third-person shooter sections, to piloting virtually every craft in the Star Wars universe (including an enemy scout walker).
