Arch Rivals is a conversion of the Midway arcade game of the same name, and it’s a good one too. The Megadrive version was developed by Flying Edge and published by Midway in 1992.

Eight Man, Neo Geo
Eight Man (aka “Eightman” aka “8 Man“) is a one or two-player scrolling beat ’em up based on Kazumasa Hirai‘s manga and anime character of the same name, who is considered one of the earliest Japanese cyborg superhero characters. The game was developed by Pallas and published exclusively for the Neo Geo by SNK in 1991.
Mr. Driller 2, Game Boy Advance
A conversion of the arcade game of the same name, Mr. Driller 2 works brilliantly well on the Game Boy Advance. It was initially released in 2001 by Namco.
Terminator 3: The Redemption, GameCube
Developed by Paradigm Entertainment and published by Atari in 2004, Terminator 3: The Redemption is based on the Terminator 3, the film, while adding in some new scenes as backstory. Gameplay is mostly third-person shooting or driving, interspersed with pre-rendered cut scenes and on-rails shooting sections.
Tournament Tennis, ColecoVision
Tournament Tennis on the ColecoVision looks and plays similarly to Match Point on the ZX Spectrum. It was first released by Imagic in 1984.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters, PC
The Deadly Tower of Monsters is a third-person action game, released in 2016, where you must climb a series of large towers, to complete various tasks, all presented like a parody of old fantasy and science fiction films. You can play as either a man (Dick Starspeed) or a woman (Scarlet Nova), and you can even play as the robot sidekick (just called “Robot“) at certain points too.
Montezuma’s Revenge, Sega Master System
Developed by Utopia Software and published for the Sega Master System in 1989, Montezuma’s Revenge is a nice surprise for anyone looking for a decent 8-bit ‘hidden gem’ to play now. It’s a remake of Robert Jaeger‘s classic platform game, but with updated graphics, making them look more realistic than the chunky versions seen in the Atari 8-bit original.
Tekken 6, PlayStation 3
Namco‘s Tekken 6 was released first – as an arcade game – in 2007, and then later released as an enhanced version on PlayStation 3 and XBox 360, in 2009.
Split Personalities, ZX Spectrum
Split Personalities is a sliding puzzle game featuring topical people from the 1980s (Margaret Thatcher, Neil Kinnock, Charles and Diana, Reagan, Breshnev, and so on). The game was first released in 1986 by Domark and was a critical success, but not a commercial one.
Vindicators, Commodore 64
Developed by Consult Ltd., for Domark, who published the game in 1988, Vindicators is a decent one or two-player simultaneous tank game, converted from the Atari arcade machine of the same name.
