Possibly the best – and most influential – beat ’em up ever made, Capcom‘s Street Fighter II: The World Warrior is the second game in the Street Fighter series and the first in a long line of variations, enhanced editions and clones of Street Fighter II.
The game features multiple playable characters: Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Dhalsim, E. Honda, Blanka, Guile, and Zangief, each of which have a series of attacks and special moves. Later variations would bring in other characters to play (such as the CPU-only characters in this game: Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and M. Bison).
The World Warrior is the original and best, though, and was first released in 1991.
