Intellivision Defender is a very good conversion of the timeless Williams arcade game. It was developed by Atari and released for the Intellivision in 1983.

Another excellent Data East arcade conversion, Bump ‘n’ Jump was released for the Intellivision in 1983 to some success.

Released by Electric Dreams Software in 1987, Firetrack is a fast vertical shooter, designed and programmed by Nick Pelling (aka Orlando), the guy who made Frak! (among others).
Dropzone, Atari 8-bit
Archer MacLean‘s Dropzone was initially released on the Atari 8-bit machines in 1984, before it later appeared on the Commodore 64 and became a smash hit.
BMX Kidz, Commodore 64
Firebird Software released BMX Kidz for the Commodore 64 in 1987.
Sky Fox, Commodore 64
Ray Tobey‘s exciting first-person air combat game, Sky Fox, was first released on the Apple II in 1984, then converted to other systems by Electronic Arts in 1985.
Unirally, Super Nintendo
DMA Design‘s excellent Unirally was re-named as the more boring “Uniracers” for North American audiences, although I’m sticking to Unirally as my preferred title for this website.
Slam Tilt, Amiga
Slam Tilt is a pinball simulator published by 21st Century Entertainment in 1996. It was developed by Liquid Dezign HB for AGA-equipped Amigas (AGA being an enhanced graphical chipset) and features super-slick scrolling and amazingly fast gameplay.
