Eye of the Beholder, Amiga

Eye of the Beholder for the Amiga was developed by Westwood Studios and first published by SSI in 1991. I believe it came out at the same time as the MS-DOS version, so is one of the original versions. And it truly is a brilliant game.

Ultima VI: The False Prophet, Commodore 64

The Commodore 64 version of Ultima VI: The False Prophet was programmed by Axel Brown of Imagitec Design and published by Origin Systems in 1991 and is the only 8-bit port of the game available. It is a somewhat stunted version of Ultima VI, with a number of changes made to make it fit onto three double-side floppy disks (six sides in total).

Developed by Hudson Soft and released for the PC Engine in Japan in 1991, and for the TurboGrafx-16 in North America in 1992, Neutopia II is the sequel to the first Neutopia and is another reasonably high quality, but easy-to-play, Zelda clone.

RoboCop 2, Arcade

The arcade version of RoboCop 2 was developed and published by Data East in 1991 and is loosely based on the 1990 Irvin Kershner-directed film sequel of the same name. In it you play as RoboCop and must stop a criminal drug baron, called Cain, from spreading a new drug called ‘Nuke’.

Somer Assault – also known as Mesopotamia in Japan – is a weird-but-imaginative scrolling action game where you control a pink Slinky-type creature that must battle its way through twelve stages of enemies to defeat an evil sorceress who is trying to conquer the world. It was developed and published by Atlus in 1991.
