Jester Interactive‘s 2002 remake of Manic Miner must surely rate as the best version of Manic Miner available (excepting maybe the Spectrum original), although it might play too quickly for some.

Kirby’s Dream Land, Game Boy

Survival Kids, Game Boy Color
Survival Kids (aka Stranded Kids in Europe), was released by Konami on the Game Boy Color in 1999.
It is a fantastic little survival sim, starring kids who are trapped on a desert island after a shipwreck out at sea. You can choose to play as either a boy or a girl.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Game Boy Advance
The second game in the Golden Sun series is pretty much identical to the first, which is fine because the first Golden Sun game was so good. Again: this sequel was developed by Camelot and published by Nintendo in 2002 (2003 in Europe).

Golden Sun is a brilliant and richly-detailed handheld Role-Playing Game developed by famous Japanese studio Camelot Software Planning.
It was first published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance in 2001 and has since gone on to become something of a legend among JRPGs fans.
Mr. Driller, Game Boy Color
Mr. Driller on the Game Boy Color is just as good as its parent, with colourful, cute graphics, jolly tunes, and vertical digging action.
Penguin Wars, Game Boy
UPL and NEXOFT Corporation’s classic, cute Penguin Wars was initially released in arcades in 1985. This excellent Game Boy conversion came five years later, in 1990.
Boktai 3: Sabata’s Counterattack, Game Boy Advance
Unfortunately this third instalment in the excellent Boktai series did not recieve a release outside of its native Japan.
