The sequel to Jon Williams‘ highly-regarded Berks, Major Blink uses similar gameplay elements to Berks, but is in fact something of an Amidar clone this time around.

Berks, Commodore 16/Plus4
Written by UK-based coder Jon Williams and published in 1985 by CRL Group Ltd., Berks is an entertaining and challenging overhead shooter with colourful graphics. In some respects it is a tribute to Berzerk, but with more going on.
Spore, Commodore 16/Plus4
Another conversion, but a damn good one, and worthy of a place in any Commodore 16 fan’s collection.
Shrunk down to fit into just 16K, Spore is a overhead maze shooter with simple graphics and excellent mechanics. A bit like a simplified version of Gauntlet in some respects, but far more frantic.
Mr. Puniverse, Commodore 16/Plus4
Written by Tony Kelly and published by Mastertronic in 1986, Mr. Puniverse is a platform maze game with a satisfying jump mechanic, and is also the sequel to Big Mac.
Voidrunner, Commodore 16/Plus4
Jeff Minter‘s Voidrunner is about as a good as a bullet hell shooter gets on the Commodore 16. It was published alongside Hellgate (as a double pack) by Llamasoft in 1987.
Rescue From Zylon, Commodore 16/Plus4
Written by Mark J. Moore and published by Gremlin Graphics in 1985, Rescue From Zylon I would say is one of the best games ever released for the Commodore 16.
Formula 1 Simulator, Commodore 16/Plus4
Oh dear. Formula 1 Simulator unfortunately proves that not all of talented and prolific coder Shaun Southern‘s games were “good”… Because this game is quite awful.
It’s a bad rip-off of Atari‘s Pole Position, and not even a playable one at that.
Mole Mania, Game Boy
This 1996 release on the Nintendo Game Boy is one of Shigeru Miyamoto‘s least known works, although it really is a hidden gem on the system and is well worth finding and playing now if you’ve never seen it.
Solar Jetman, Commodore 64
Developed by Software Creations for Sales Curve Interactive, Solar Jetman is a legendary ‘lost’ game that was canned by its publisher in 1991 and has since resurfaced and been ‘preserved’ online.
Gift From The Gods, ZX Spectrum
Gift From The Gods is a mythology-based maze game – with impressively-animated, large figures – that was only ever released for the ZX Spectrum. Its origins lie in the infamous cancelled Imagine Software game, Bandersnatch.
