Steve Turner‘s 1985 sequel to Avalon is about as atmospheric and exciting as a fantasy adventure can get on a ZX Spectrum. It really is amazing that this game fits in to only 48K of memory.
Mizar’s Out Of The Shadows is a brilliant, early “prototype” RPG on the humble ZX Spectrum.
Dark Star, released in 1984 by Design Design, is a very underrated game, in my opinion.
Swords and Sorcery by PSS is an early RPG that was way ahead of its time (it having been first released in 1985), and also surprisingly tense and feature-packed, considering that it fit in to only 48K of memory.
