Elektra Glide is a futuristic first-person racing game written by Adam Billyard and published by English Software in 1985. Well, you could call it a “racing” game, but you’re not actually racing against other cars – just a timer.

Infiltrator, Atari 8-bit
Infiltrator is a classic helicopter action game designed and programmed by Chris Gray and published in 1986 by US Gold (in Europe) and Mindscape (everywhere else).
The aim is to fly a chopper (called the Gizmo DHX-3) to an enemy compound, then infiltrate the base on one of three separate missions. Each mission is split into two halves: a first-person flying game, then an isometric stealth/exploration game.
Leaderboard, Atari 8-bit
A version of the classic Access Software golf game, Leaderboard, was ported to Atari home computers by Kevin Homer in 1986.
Draconus, Atari 8-bit
Draconus is a 1988 release on the Atari 800 by British developer Zeppelin Games. It is a platform game with more than a hint of Metroidvania about it.
Ghostbusters, Atari 8-bit
The Atari 800 version of David Crane‘s Ghostbusters is almost as good as the C64 original. It has excellent digitised speech; the obligatory chiptunes rendition of Ray Parker Jr.‘s hit single, and the game is nice, smooth, and non-flickery to play.
Chuckie Egg, Atari 8-bit
I’m not sure why Henhouse Harry has been made as large as he is in the Atari 800 version of Chuckie Egg, but he looks ridiculous…
Spy Hunter, Atari 8-bit
The Atari 8-bit version of Spy Hunter is a cracking rendition, with smooth scrolling and decent sprites.
Super Cobra, Atari 8-bit
Park Brothers developed this conversion of Konami‘s classic arcade game, Super Cobra, and released it on Atari 8-bit home computers in 1983.
Cavernia, Atari 8-bit
A British platform game that came quite late in the life of the Atari 8-bit computers (released by Zeppelin Games in 1990), Cavernia is a fairly simple left to right run-and-jump-a-thon but with nice presentation and decent controls.

Epyx‘s classic multi-event sports sim, Summer Games, first came out on the Commodore 64, and this Atari 8-bit conversion came later.
