Ghosts ‘N Goblins, Game Boy Color

The Game Boy Color version of Ghosts ‘N Goblins was developed by Digital Eclipse Software and is very similar to – if not a direct port of – the NES/Famicom version. It was first released in 1999 by Capcom, and it looks like it might only have been released in North America.

One thing this version has, that the NES version doesn’t have, are passwords that allow you to continue from a specific level, which is some consolation to contend with the high difficulty level.

Overall, this port of Ghosts ‘N Goblins is playable, enjoyable, and is much better than the NES version upon which it’s based. It’s not as ridiculously hard as the NES version and also has better music.
