The MS-DOS version of Dune II: The Battle For Arrakis was the original, first released by Westwood Studios in 1992. The Amiga version followed shortly afterwards, in 1993.
Aka “Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty” in North America.
Dune II is a classic Real Time Strategy game based on Frank Herbert‘s famous series of novels, and it is also the predecessor to the famous Command & Conquer series of games – both of which came from Westwood Studios.
The PC MS-DOS version of Dune II: The Battle For Arrakis is still very much worth playing nowadays, although it’s best played with mouse and keys, IMHO.
