Rayman was developed for the Atari Jaguar as the game’s original target system, and it is seen as something of a ‘killer app’ on the console. It certainly is one of the best – maybe even the best – platform games on the Jaguar.
The game has beautiful, colourful cartoon graphics and features gameplay that is simple enough for kids to understand and play, as well as having an extra layer of challenge for more experienced gamers.
Rayman has stood the test of time well and plays like a dream on the Jaguar – even now. I’d say that it is one of the best games on the system. It is wonderfully well-produced and is highly playable. And was the beginning of a long-running series. It is definitely a Jaguar classic!
