Nintendo’s 2004 sequel is a brilliant update of the first Pikmin game, with split screen multiplayer, and challenging single-player story modes.
Just like in the first game: you control Captain Olimar and his sidekick Louie, who in turn are commanding an army of Pikmin – at a microscopic level – in order to complete prescribed tasks.
The game has been expanded to include new Pikmin types; new ways of controlling them, and of course new scenarios.
There are four distinct levels in Pikmin 2, each with its own visual style, hidden treasures, and all manner of surprises.
Pikmin 2 is one of the very best games on the GameCube and is still a lot of fun to play now. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that this is one of the best games of all-time. It’d certainly be up there on my list.
