Developed by Realtime Associates and published by Sega in 1993, Quest for the Shaven Yak is a Game Gear platform game based on The Ren & Stimpy Show.

It features gameplay where you jump around; hit things, and try not to die. Yes… it’s that sophisticated. 🙂

The graphics are excellent; the music is great, but the gameplay is rather standard. Quest for the Shaven Yak is not a bad game, though, and I’m sure Ren & Stimpy fans would’ve revelled in a full colour handheld game, back in 1993, which was at the height of the show.

Quest for the Shaven Yak was also released for the Sega Master System, but only in Brazil!
