Castlevania: Dracula X on the Super Nintendo is a remake of the classic Castlevania: Rondo of Blood that was initially released for the PC Engine CD. It was first published by Konami in 1995.
Dracula X follows the same storyline as Rondo of Blood, but features new levels, new graphics, and a variety of other additions and changes. Mostly because of the limitations of cartridge-based games, and also because of an exclusivity agreement signed with NEC over the PC Engine version.
It’s not as varied or as exciting as Super Castlevania IV, which came out on the SNES four years previous to this, but it’s still a decent entry in the Castlevania series.
Dracula X was released in Europe as “Castlevania: Vampire’s Kiss” in 1996. I prefer the game’s North American title, which is what I’m showing here.
