Manic Miner on the Commodore 64 is very close to the ZX Spectrum original, which is fine in my book although at the time I remember magazine critics not liking it because it looked like a Spectrum game. Which I always thought was ridiculous…
Anyway, Manic Miner on the Commodore 64 is as good as the original – excepting for the slightly smaller play window. I prefer the Manic Miner tune in this version too – it’s less intrusive than in most other versions.
As far as I know: this doesn’t contain any new levels that aren’t in the original, but that’s okay – Manic Miner is still great in vanilla.
