Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Sega Master System

My personal favourite of the Alex Kidd Sega Master System games – Miracle World was first released in 1986.

It was meant to be Sega‘s answer to the Mario Bros. games, but it was never really as good. It doesn’t quite have the same level of finesse.

Still, Alex Kidd in Miracle World is a fun platformer with different vehicles to use, as well as the standard running and jumping.

Miracle World was later built in to Master System and Master System II consoles, so you could play it without a cartridge – it came free with the system.

A remake – called Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX – was released on Steam in 2021.
