Astro Boy: Omega Factor is a fun and visually spectacular scrolling beat ’em up on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance.
The game was created by famous Japanese development house, Treasure – in association with Hitmaker – and was published by Sega in 2003.
Astro Boy: Omega Factor was released to coincide with a new Astro Boy TV series in both Japan and North America. Due to a six month wait between the release of the TV series in North America, the developers reworked some aspects of the game, adding more baddies to certain sections and changing their behaviours in others. So the Japanese and American versions are different.
Still a great game to play now – whether you’re an Astro Boy fan or not.
