Ray Tobey‘s exciting first-person air combat game, Sky Fox, was first released on the Apple II in 1984, then converted to other systems by Electronic Arts in 1985.
This fantastic Commodore 64 version is arguably the best of the bunch, with fast-moving objects and a quick refresh rate – blasting things coming at you had never felt so exhilarating on a C64 before.
Sky Fox is still fun to play even now, although the game’s lasting appeal is limited. It’s still quite incredible to think that great games like this were crammed into less than 64K of RAM.
