Sega‘s 1984 arcade hit Bank Panic is a simple reaction game where you play the role of a bank clerk who must answer the various doors in a bank to serve customers, some of whom are genuine and some of whom are bandits.
You don’t know who the bad guys are until you open the door and notice the masks. You must then shoot them before they shoot you.
Shooting innocent customers however is very highly frowned-upon, so you can’t be too quick to the trigger.
A cool head is required to make headway in Bank Panic, but it is a lot of fun trying to at least not shoot the customers. And – if you’re good enough – shoot some of the bonus hats off people too.
