The Atari 8-bit home computer version is definitely the blandest-looking version of Head Over Heels, with the least amount of colour.
That said: the Atari version of this classic isometric platform game is speedy enough to be enjoyable, is graphically crisp, and is very playable. The sound is also good too.
Which is not surprising considering that the Atari 800 version was written by Colin Porch – the code wizard who converted the Atari ST, Amiga and Commodore 64 versions of Head Over Heels.
Porch did a marvellous job of converting Ritman and Drummond‘s classic video game to other systems, including this one.
