The officially-licensed ZX Spectrum version of Donkey Kong was developed by Sentient Software for Ocean Software and was initially released in 1986.

It’s a decent enough port. Certainly better than Ocean‘s previous clone release of Donkey Kong, from 1983: Kong.

Contains all four stages, and the bonuses from the arcade game.

It’s a decent enough port, but isn’t dazzling. Close, but no cigar…
