Paperboy 2, Game Boy

The Game Boy version of Paperboy 2 was developed and published by Mindscape in 1992. It is not a bad port overall, and doesn’t suffer too badly from having a small play screen (unlike the Game Gear version, which does).

In spite of the monochrome graphics, Paperboy 2 on the Game Boy looks pretty good and the scrolling is smooth. Most importantly, the game plays well enough although it does suffer from the same problems that all the Mindscape versions of the game do. Namely: high difficulty and repetitive levels.

Playing the final two roads requires password entry, but they’re fairly easy to find online*.
