Attack of the Mutant Camels, Atari 8-bit

The Atari 8-bit version of Attack of the Mutant Camels came out simultaneously with the Commodore 64 version, in 1983, and is pretty much the same game, but with a few graphical tweaks.

Attack of the Mutant Camels is basically a rip-off of Parker Brothers‘ hit Atari 2600 game, The Empire Strikes Back, but with camels instead of AT-ATs.

It’s an okay early shooter from the Llamasoft range, but nothing special (other than the camel sprites, which are classic*).

* = The camel sprites in the Atari 8-bit version are ‘leaner’ than those seen in the C64 version. They are positively ‘portly’ in that!
