Lode Runner, Atari Lynx

***CANNED GAME***

Lode Runner on the Atari Lynx was developed but never officially released. A prototype version was leaked onto the internet in 2008.

It’s pretty much complete in terms of gameplay – all 150 original levels have been verified as being in there and the game plays as it should, without any real problems.

Where the Lynx version of Lode Runner does lack finesse is in the graphics department. Yes, the Lynx does have a relatively low resolution display, but the scaled-down graphics lack definition and probably weren’t the finished graphics. Which we can forgive, obviously, because this is nothing more than a leaked prototype of an unfinished game that was canned in 1990.
