Fantastic 2002, Japan-only sequel to Kuru Kuru Kururin, developed by Eighting and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance.
Gameplay in Kururin Paradise is identical to its predecessor – the spinning stick moving through a twisty maze, only this time there is much more detail. More game modes, more mini games, and – in my opinion – more fun! I love this game!!!
At first Kururin Paradise seems difficult, but when you get yourself into full ‘Kururin’ mode it is amazing how many smart moves you can pull off. Playing the Kururin series of games is part instinct, part luck. Well, not luck… Just good timing and judgement.
The final two of the Kururin games – this, and the later GameCube game – Kururin Squash! – were Japan-only releases, which is a pity because they are SO GOOD that the entire world deserves to play them.
That said: if you’re looking for playable obscure classics, all three of the Kururin games are up there with the best.
