This excellent Spanish homebrew game is a well-produced platform/action adventure, starring a titchy version of DC Comics‘ Batman (aka The Dark Knight). It plays really well, looks great and is a challenge worth undertaking.
The Dark Knight is split into four different levels, one of which is a titchy side-scrolling driving game (in the titchy Batmobile, of course). The rest are platforming sections, and they’re well-designed and playable.
Batman himself is as agile as you’d expect him to be. He can double-jump; he can duck; he can also cling to walls, and can throw his Baterang at enemies. The controls are responsive and offer precise movement, which is required in an action game.
The presentation overall is top-notch.
Dark Knight: Shadow of Madness was first released in 2024 and is still well worth a play today. Try WinAPE, if you need an emulator to play it in.
