Created by Bitmasters and first published by Mindscape in 1993, Championship Pool is arguably one of the best pool games of all-time. It’s possible to make subtle or hard-hitting strokes, and the aiming system allows for quick, accurate enhancements that encourage ever more confident play.

The Megadrive version is mostly identical to the Super Nintendo version, although it does have slightly more illustrative backdrops.

Championship Pool may not look like much, but the ball physics; the no-nonsense screen setup, and the many options available, make it a great pool game to play – even to this day.
