Kosmic Kanga, ZX Spectrum

Kosmic Kanga is a bouncing, platforming, shooting game in which you play a large, yellow kangaroo that fires boxing gloves as bullets. The game was created by Dominic Wood and first published for the ZX Spectrum in 1984, by Micromania.

I remember buying Kosmic Kanga as a kid and thinking that it was quite original. Then years later finding out that it was a clone of a 1981 arcade game called Jump Bug. LOL. Oh, how the young are so naiive…

Kosmic Kanga is a slow mess compared to Jump Bug, but does have its charm, and it is still fun to bounce over buildings and fire out boxing gloves for a while every now and then.
