Hyper Active is a fairly boring and generic side-scrolling shooter that was given away free with the June 1988 edition of Sinclair User magazine.
The only thing of note is that Hyper Active was programmed by legendary Spectrum coder, the late Jonathan “Joffa” Smith.
Hyper Active was undoubtedly a demo that was sitting around and got polished-up and released on a magazine cover tape. Which is fine. It’s better to have these little code experiments out there, than lost forever!
