The ZX Spectrum version of Ocean Software‘s classic platformer, The Addams Family, was first released in 1992 and was for 128K Spectrums only. The game was programmed by Andrew Deakin, with graphics by Ivan Horn and sound by Jonathan Dunn.
The Addams Family on the Spectrum is an excellent game, with colourful/smooth graphics and decent playability. Coming so late in the Spectrum‘s life cycle, the developers were able to wrest quite a large and challenging game out of the hardware.
While the Speccy version of The Addams Family is certainly not the best version of the game out there (that would probably have to go to the Super Nintendo version), it is definitely an asset to the Spectrum‘s large and diverse library of games, and not an embarassment.
