Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Arcade

Capcom‘s Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is a side-scrolling beat ’em up, based on a series of comics (and an animated TV series), and first released into arcades in 1993.

The game bears all the hallmarks of classic Capcom arcade games of the time: vivid, colourful graphics, relentless action, and violent, cartoon humour.

Up to three players can play simultaneously, choosing from four available characters, each with their own individual fighting specialities. You can pick up barrels, sticks, guns and knives as you go along, to help bring down the enemies. There are also some cool driving sections, although these are little more than window dressing.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is brilliant multiplayer retro-gaming fun for a few hours. It doesn’t take a great deal of skill to play. Just lots of coins.
