Published by Melbourne House in 1985, Gyroscope is an unashamed rip-off of Atari‘s classic arcade game Marble Madness.
Instead of a marble, though, you control a spinning top (a gyroscope) and must guide it through a tortuous series of mazes, to the exit, before the timer runs down.
Graphically, Gyroscope isn’t bad. Gameplay-wise it’s no great shakes either. It’s just merely adequate.
I bought the game as a kid and remember being quite disappointed by it. Playing it now just reinforces that feeling.
